Aw, thanks for the post Kristy, haha. It made me feel special. Special like a bowl of... um, celebrity-shape chips.

Oh, of couse, Disneyland as usual. I'm starting to wonder if the costumed characters have memorized your Disneyland paths by now.

And yes, sleep is good. I've been jetlagged for a week, probably. (Still am.) I can't go to bed any earlier than 2 or 3 AM, it seems.

And in regards to your comment on the last post- yeah, I definitely would like to hang out. Anytime is fine for me. I guess we'll have to keep communicating here, though, because my guestbook doesn't seem to load anymore. (Hm.)

Again, thanks for the welcome back, and I hope to see ya soon!

Oh-- aaaand, I was watching "Extra" today and they said that "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is going to re-open in the fall or something in 3D. (I think they mean IMAX?)

No problem, man, you deserve it. =pulls out a bag of the aforementioned chips= Here, want Elvis?

I don't think they've got it down, quite. I mean, I try changing it up every now and then, plus they can't really predict which days we go on. =shifty= We haven't been going every Friday, just every week, and sometimes more than that.

Sleep is very good, unfortunately I seem to be postponing it as of the moment. Seems I have your 3 AM beat with my 6 AM.

I just have to find my band schedule and I can pick a day we can hang out. and stuff. Unless you want to see AJ in Into the Woods on Sunday...It'll be sometime next week...and the only day I know I'm open is on Sunday because Mr. Gilboe is respectful of the Christian religion. I noticed the darn guestbook not working right. I even left a comment saying something about the awesomeness of that jacket - and I think something else. I'm not sure.

Ditto minus the thanks and replace that with a "Your very welcome, m'dear."

The NBC will open in the El Capitan theatre in Hollywood in the fall to do the whole 3-d thing. It seems really cool. Nipperkin (faire friend/janine's ex-boyfriend) said he saw a preview of it and said it was really cool. I think he saw the "And they call him Sandy Claws" part...if my memory serves me well (which it usually doesn't).

Say, did you get your schedule yet?

On top of the schedule I have between the hours of 8:35 and 5 every day, I also have adult school from 6-9 on Tues and Thurs to make up for my slacking off in English. That lasts til January.

Wait...wait a minute. I'm gonna have to talk to Mr. Gilboe about that. Shoot. We have football games on those days.

OH YES! I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO NOT GO!

Mm, blue suede shoes really do taste better as greasy chips.

Speaking of your Disneyland trips, what's up with blackout dates? Are weekends blacked out on your pass? If so, that seems like the biggest rip off of an "annual pass" ever.

Oh right, you still have band stuff over the summer. Honestly, how is summer even a "break"? It's really quite ridiculous, I think. Another excuse for teachers to make an additional 2 months of our lives miserable. Any new clarinet players?

And sure, I'll go with you to the show- as long as it isn't Wednesday (when I have to take my pictures for the yearbook- when is yours scheduled?) or Saturday (when I'm at the OC Register from 9-4 [I should get paid!!] for "Lead Critics Training").

Thanks for the comments on the guestbook although I can't read them on my computer (the page is all white until it eventually goes to "Cannot find server")...

Haha, of course you already knew about TNBC (that acronym looks deceivingly like the TV station). I hope that you wouldn't have to wear those annoying glasses, though. Those things just end up making my eyes hurt.

Yes, I was back for registration so I got my schedule, which I will email to you.

That's awful, Kristy, about the adult school. It's pure torture. Nobody should have to stay at school until 9, much less twice a week! Geeeeh. :( Oh yikes, yeah, be sure to ask about that conflict, with the football games. I'm sure if your mom complains and drives up with her BMW then they won't say anything. In fact, they might even compliment you. ("Oh, making up your grade? Good for YOU!")

I have a premium pass, so I don't get blackout dates. But the deluxe pass was practically completely blocked out for July, for the final summer of the 50th anniversary (though the 51st was on the 17th).

At this point, Saturdays are the only days it's blocked out in the deluxe pass, and the entire month of october is open, I think. The southern california and so cal select passes are the worst because they're always blocked out on weekends and are completely blocked out this summer.

New clarinetists....hm.. Our section lieutenant came the last two weeks before school and is pretty good. Her name's Caitlyn (or however you spell it). Then there's Marianne's brother, who I think is gonna be a clarinetist. I'm not sure about anyone else, but there really needs to be more, because Emma is the drum major and won't play clarinet except for during football games, Marianne and Ed are going to play bass, or quit, Alicia and Sean are going to the sax section, and Josh plays the drums during marching season (though he might be nice and come join me in the clarinet section)...Lizi plays in the pit...Yeah...so um...the clarinetists who are staying in the section are Caitlyn, me, and Tammy.

That's gonna suck. That's four people. I hope there's more freshman than that.

Hm...I'm gonna find a different day than tomorrow to see Into the Woods cause I'm trying to see Wicked, and am entering a raffle to get tickets for 25 bucks.

I missed the day I was supposed to get my picture taken. Ah well.

I'm not sure if the comment even sent, since the guestbook stopped working when I sent it in.

Word on the street is that we only have football games on Thursdays twice, so fleh. That means they're all on Fridays. And man, I'm not gonna be able to go to Disneyland much this semester since we'll have competitions on Saturdays and Sundays and games on Fridays. I'll figure some way to keep up my damn tradition. =shifty=

Anyways.

Oh, that's good that you don't have blackout dates. Because I think your days would be very Mickey-deprived, had you a "deluxe" pass instead. (I can't believe it's "deluxe" when a whole month is blocked out. Jerks!)

Yeah, it totally makes me wonder what is wrong with people when I hear of "passes" that block out WEEKENDS, not to mention BLOODY SUMMERS.

Hm, your clarinet section seems a bit unstable. I suppose that's always how it is with school bands. That is, except the ones with 400 people. Probably in Texas.

(Whoops, sorry, I just realized that when I was responding to you, I somehow put in your paragraph about band and "Into the Woods.")

Ooh, good luck on the "Wicked" raffle. If only it were Friday the 13th; then maybe you would have some luck.

Hm, you should call the place to reschedule. 968-1878. And wear something nice. :)

What the heck, you guys have to play during two football games a day? How can there even be two football games? Hm... band is more demanding than I thought. And I'd think that you would tire of Disneyland already! But I suppose it's the atmosphere that keeps you addicted!

Also, if you/you and Chessie are planning on seeing any movies (preferably drama -- my already existing reviews are comedy) this week, please let me know.

Chessie's been depressed lately, so I'd rather not go to a movie with her unless it's Superman or Snakes on a Plane.

I'll gladly go to a movie with you, though...On...um...wait, I have my schedule for once.

Tuesday: 9AM-4PM @ band, 5:30-6 @ voice, 6-8 @ band.

Wed: 10-4 @ band, 6-8 @ band.

Thurs: 10-4 @ band.

Friday: 10-4 @band

Mon: 1-4 @ band.

Tues: 3-5 @ band.

So um...pick a day, cause I'm exceptionally indecisive.

By the way, I'd talk to you online (I see you there...), but I'm going back to cleaning my room after I check my email.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that Chessie's depressed. :( Yikes. Yeah- I saw her Xanga today and felt really bad. Do you think hanging out would make her feel better?

I'll gladly go to a movie with you, though...On...um...wait, I have my schedule for once.

Wow- you have an incredibly busy schedule, especially for summer! I mean, going home at 4 everyday. Yikes, yikes. It makes me feel bad for sleeping in until 2 (but it's beyond my control-- stupid jetlag...).

And why is it that all these days, they make you go for an inhuman 7 hours, and then return for 2 hours?
(But cool about the voice lessons!)

How about Thursday? That seems to be the earliest. And at least if we miss Thursday then we can still say "How 'bout Friday?"

Regarding films, right now I'm looking at this page:
http://www.fandango.com/Movies.aspx?tab=PlayingNearMe&pn=All

Seems to be mostly lame ones, and a lot of the okay-looking ones are pretty far.

"Factotum" is playing in Irvine. About a writer.

"An Inconvenient Truth" also playing in Irvine.

"World Trade Center" playing more extensively.

Any of these sound good to you? (I'm leaning toward dramas, if that's okay with you, for my next review.)

And good job on being motivated to clean your room! (What is that motivation, for you?)

See ya!

Ever since I first saw the posters, I have been rolling my eyes at WTC. I really don't want to see a movie that will make me feel insensitive since I'd be the only person there not crying. Just like Passion of the Christ.

The other two sound very interesting, though.

The motivation to clean my room? It's actually depression. I get so depressed sometimes by the look of my room, that eventually it builds up and pops and turns into an undying need to have a clean room. So...yeah.

That's why when left to my own devices I get things done.

Anyways...now that an entire half of my room is clean and I have moved the overlarge couch into my room through the tiny doorway all by my lonesome, I think it's time to...clean some more. =sigh=

By the way, now I really don't have a bed. I have moved the futon into a pretty semi-permanent location next to the couch, so that people /can/ open it up and sleep in it if they want, but I will be sleeping on the overlarge and extremely comfortable red couch. Yep. I'm changing around my room so much, so I can start anew. I just need to fix the curtains and get cubbies to replace my dresser, and also I need a better display case, so that it will stand on it's own, and then I'll be good.

9:49 PM
Blogger Annie said...

Yeah, basically, I'm not to into WTC either besides the fact that it's a drama because I feel that if I wrote in my review that I didn't like it, it would be... un-American. Pph. Actually, my friend in Irvine saw it and she said it was "too sentimental."

There's also "Conversations with Other Women," which has Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart, both of whom I know you are familiar with, but the reviews didn't seem to be too kind with it. It's completely in splitscreen. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing it, though, since it at least looks interesting. But ugh, it's only playing in Santa Ana right now, which is too far.

Oh man, I just realized that I really wanted to see "Half Nelson," since it seemed that the critics really liked it, but it opens on Friday. But yeah, that's probably for another time.

So I guess there's "Factotum" and "An Inconvenient Truth." Leaning towards either of those?

Oh, that's good at least that you're at least being motivated to cleanliness. Perhaps buy more cabinets/drawers/shelves?

Wow- congrats on getting 1/2 of your room clean. Man, I still remember that feeling of triumph for you that one time your room was completely clean, and you could walk around it, and see the nice plum colored rug, and it was just... (tears) Tee. Hey, plus, you can consider cleaning exercise.

Sounds like your room is in good shape during these renovations! But I still feel bad for you- are you sure you wouldn't rather have a real bed? (haha)

Are you good for meeting on Thursday then? It shall be fun to meet, I think. Gee, it'll be the first time I've seen ya all summer?

Blogger Krist of the New Age said...

It does seem interesting - "Conversations..." I mean. But it really is too far.

If you want to try for seeing "Half Nelson" on Friday, we could.

I'm actually good with anything you want to see, whether it be "An Inconvenient Truth" or "Factotum" or "Half Nelson." It's up to you.

I'm going to be replacing my dresser with cubbies since I never really use my dresser. With cubbies, I can just stick the clothing in the spaces and it won't end up on the floor. Then I'm gonna replace my current display cabinet with one that can sit on the floor.

Cleaning my room /is/ excersize. I mean, I've moved around the couch, and the TV cabinet all by myself, using various muscles. The most strenuous was probably getting the couch in here by my lonesome. My arms hurt afterwards. Moving the cabinet was easy, since it's already in here, I just had to use me leg muscles.

I'm good. Seriously, next time you come over, and you sit on this couch, you'll understand why.

I'm good for Thursday or Friday, since I believe the schedules are somewhat the same...wait...wait a minute. Nevermind. I'm bowling Friday. There. That settled it all.

Yay! We finally get to hang out. Fwish!

Anyways...

Yeah, that city = not only too far, but also danger of being shot at! (Harrr)

I think maybe "Factotum" sounds good, because it's a rated R and Chessie suggested my film be a tough rated R. Even though I feel really weird that the poster has a stripper in the background and I hate that sorta stuff but hey, I guess that's another thing to critique if it's annoying. And go ahead and think of other options too, if there are any of those movies that you want to see.

While I'd want to see "Half Nelson" (but then again, "Accepted" looks entertaining too, haha), it's on Friday, so I guess we might just have to see how it goes, time-wise, after Thursday.

YEAH, CUBBIES! I could totally imagine it. I've wanted cubbies. I mean, they seem like a much smarter option than just shelves, because you can organize in smaller portions. Yeah, and cubbies would definitely be an option for clothing. I'm thinking IKEA would have them. Take a look at these options:

Very large and pricier, but I'd consider it an investment:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?cattype=sub&topcategoryId=15561&categoryId=15981&parentCats=15561&storeId=12&catalogId=10103&langId=-1

Hm... that seems to be the most cubby-like thing on the site. I've always wanted one of these things. Seems like it could save a lot of space:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15597&catalogId=10103&storeId=12&productId=76560&langId=-1&chosenPartNumber=00075726

Hahaha, this is in the kids' section- it looks fun:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?cattype=sub&topcategoryId=15597&categoryId=15664&parentCats=15597*15661*16259&storeId=12&catalogId=10103&langId=-1

Also cubby-like, but it seems that the shelf is narrow:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15597&catalogId=10103&storeId=12&productId=53161&langId=-1&categoryId=16259&chosenPartNumber=30077248

Yikes- I /bet/ cleaning that much is tiring. Take breaks often!

Alrighty then- Thursday. Maybe I could come over... I dunno, what time do you get home after your 4 PM band? 4:30 or so?

Oooh, bowling. Haha, not really, actually- bowling never seems to be fun for me. Even "cosmic bowling" (whooooooooo-- not really...).

Indeed, yay for hanging out!

See ya... in uh... ~46 hours!

In all my years of traveling to Irvine, I have yet to be shot at.

I haven't been watching TV lately so I don't know what's out.

Yeah, mum said that Duane said that they had cubby-like things you could put together at Home Depot, so she's gonna check that out.

I get home as soon as I leave band. And since school's only five minutes away...

Yeah. I'm only bowling because I miss my Washerwomen family.

8:47 AM
Blogger Annie said...

Oh no, I actually meant Santa Ana was the place that was more dangerous. Irvine is quite the opposite. In fact, I think they were named one of the safest cities or something.

Oooh, cool about the Home Depot cubbies. I wonder if you can customize them. And I do mean a certain color combination involving a certain green and a certain purple.

So I'm thinking maybe I will go to your house at 4:15 or so?

Oh, so bowling's with the Washerwomen- that's acceptable.

2:25 PM
Blogger Krist of the New Age said...

Ahhh. =didn't read closely enough=

Yeah, that's what mum said we could do.

I think we might have to push it back to five or something. Cause this is the only day mum can do stuff involving my room...so...if you want to do that with us...Um. Otherwise...maybe five or six... Fleh.

Blogger Annie said...

Oh, I see. Showtimes for "Factotum" are 5:00, 7:50, 9:55 at Irvine. I think I'll call you around 4 to see how things will go. So yeah- hopefully you will be home at that time.

Hope to see ya soon!
