Say Something Witty

Right, so...uh. I went and wrote another play in preparation for school starting soon.

So...here?

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38533023/

It's not all that good. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it, but I liked the title, and I was watching way too much Monty Python's Flying Circus...So yeah. I'm thinking that Prichard would make a good Sally.

Enough is enough! I have had it with these mutha!#*$%^ snakes on this mutha@*%&$ plane!

Oh man. And let's not forget to BRING IT:

Thanks for a fun time of mutha#&%*$ snakes and mutha#&$%^ mad "skillz" of predicting the whole movie, Krist-ay! Those filmmakers can't trick you for their mutha$#&!* lives.

Hahaha, also... to prove your point that Mr. Samuel L. Jackson is flipping everywhere:

He will be appearing in a 2007 film called "Black Snake Moan." Not only is the title snake-related, but the film will also feature Christina Ricci and-- brace yourself-- Justin TIMBERLAKE.

Oh man. Precious. Precious.

Ah, man. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it half so much if I hadn't gone with you.

God, that music video!

And I believe the correct phrase is "skiz-illz"...Yes...

Woot.

My goodness. It sounds like a porno. I hope it's like the one Brian directed in Family Guy. That would make my day.

Indeed.

Oh, and the word verification is "pagmu"...just had to share that one.

(currently reading and enjoying your play, with "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" in the background- haha)

Whoa, you totally threw me off with the names thar, Kristy!

Love this line: "But it’s hard to hear mimes over the phone anyway…"

Hm-- I can't tell whether Sally is a girl. Because you do refer to her a lot as "she" in the directions.

Hehe, funny about the voice change.

Oh, oh- that's what you were talking about when you said you wanted to write a play about those South Americans who change gender once they hit puberty! Life makes sense now. (Well, even though that alleged happening doesn't really make sense and is quite frightening in theory!)

It's cute, and I like the premise. But I think maybe the dialogue that's there -- hm, I'm thinking that's 5 minutes worth? not sure -- could be abridged a bit, since it seems like there's not that much action going on. That would be unless, you got some dynamic people who could just make it interesting and funny- then it wouldn't seem too long. But anyway, nice skiz-illz! Hope you write more soon!

Random trivia: Half of the time when I sign onto AIM, I immediately sign off because there's nobody interesting to talk to. And I never IM people first either.

What's new with you? How was bowling?

I always get lazy with direction. I'll put actual stage directions into the next draft...when I get time. And every time there is a "she" in the direction, I'm sure I'm talking about either Janis or Erik. I'll check on that when I finally read through it for the second time.

Sally is indeed a man.

Happy you think it's cute. I'll definitely make it better.

Interesting random trivia.

Tomorrow I get to stay in the Disneyland hotel. Woot.

And I have a curfew on my laptop now. I have a total of two minutes left.

So ta for now.

Blogger Annie said...

Ooh, Sally is a man. Gotcha!

Cool about staying in the Disneyland Hotel- what's the occasion?

Do you seriously have a curfew on your laptop? Or do you just mean batteries?

Here's some other news for ya:

Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco are among the bands who have been enlisted to provide covers of tracks from Tim Burton's beloved gothic musical, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Originally released in 1993, the film, directed by Henry Selick, used stop-motion animation and computer effects as well as original music. This fall, the film is scheduled to hit theatres for a second run, only this time featuring 3D effects (glasses, not computer graphics).

To coincide with the re-release, a new double disc soundtrack featuring covers of Danny Elfman's classic songs will be issued. Other participants include Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple and She Wants Revenge.

My commentary: Great. Way to attract the Hot Topic crowd even more...

I get invited to most of Janine's vacations and stuff now so that she doesn't complain. It's funny.

My curfew on the laptop on school nights is eleven. Yes, I do, because we all know that I will stay up into the wee hours of the morn with it otherwise and I just don't have time for it anymore.

Wow. You read my mind on the Hot Topic sentiment. =sigh= I was reading that and I'm thinking "Hm...aren't those the bands popular with...those...people?

..."

8:29 PM
Blogger Annie said...

Oh, cool about the vacations. Funny, too.

Oh wow, I can't believe you seriously have a curfew! But you know, I think this is good for you, especially with school and all. Yes. I do believe that your night owl wings will be clipped (yikes- what a harsh metaphor). But really, for the better. Is this curfew self-enacted? (Can't think of a better adjective.)

Yeah. Way to sell out tNBC, people.

Okay, guess what other horribly disturbing bit of Depp-related info I heard on Inside Edition today? That bleeping pedophile creep John Mark Karr had these creepy conversations with someone in the past, and he said "And I already know who I want to play my role" (yeah... as if people will be just jumping at the opportunity to play that sorry bleep) -- "Johnny Depp. He's so like me. And he looks like me." HAHAHAHAHAHA. What a loser and creep. I hope that guy goes to jail so that the men there can make him their bride.

Oh, and also. Um... I emailed Mr. Gilboe, asking when/what day AP Music Theory meets, and he hasn't gotten back to me. This sorta sucks, considering that tomorrow is the first day of school... Gah. Well, if I find out I'll tell ya. And if you find out, please tell me.

9:29 PM

But... now I know the actual time of AP Music Theory. Next Weds. (6th) from 4:45-6:45. Ooh, that's a long one.

Aaalso. Today in physics (with Mr. Johnston, thank goodness, rather than Kittrel), people were mentioning a certain "Josh" who they paid to do their MC Webs. "How much did he charge?" Mr. Johnston asked. One kid piped up, "5, but 3 if he liked you." Hahahahahahaha. You have a mini-businessman in the household, my friend.

Again, kudos to you, Kristy, for this response:

"P.S. If everyone else jumped off a cliff, I'd find my way home, or to a bookstore, or to their houses (and take their things) and read all the time. Who needs them?"

Honestly, the best "If everyone jumped off a cliff" response I've read in my life.

On a side note: the word verification happens to be leabma and I think that's cool.

Wow- besides the use of the /'s, your last comment sounded remarkably like me. Esp. the "crazaaaaaay" part.

My word i.d. is "ofaryep." Oh? Far? Yep!

Hooray for long weekends, Kristy! Got any plans?

8:18 PM
Blogger Krist of the New Age said...

Proves your influence on me. Yep yep.

Hmm...tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland (maybe)...

Quite honestly, I'm not so sure about that anymore. I was gonna go with Prichard and Marianne, but Prichard is most likely going to be grounded because of a myspace bulletin he put up about one of his exes, which said "So and so has aids. (555)555-5555 call her to find out if it's true!" And the school interfered or something I don't quite remember, so yeah.

My word verification is lacking in /real/ vowels: jgfmrxy.

And as for Sunday. Um. I dunno. Saturday? I don't know. But Mr. Groscost said we were supposed to do something we'd never do during the three day weekend. One example, "everyone hates magic mountain. Go there! Go to Knott's Berry Farm. It's sunny out? Don't go to the beach, go somewhere hot - the Swap Meet. It's cold? Don't stay inside, do something outside!"...

=sigh=

I'll prolly just end up reading like crazy.

I don't know what's gotten into me, but I like it. I finished a book in three days, something I haven't been able to do before because of my schedule and my inability to focus. So I brought 1984 to school with me every day, starting in my first period on the 30th, and finishing sometime after school before the football game. To celebrate, I fell asleep, and then grabbed the book I'll be doing my book report on (The Sea Hawk by my most beloved Rafael Sabatini who created my favorite pirate character Captain Blood) and started reading that at the football game. Course, I didn't really get all that far (page 11), but I didn't expect to get far. I'm just proud of myself for reading so much, since I have to get back in the state of mind where I could finish a book in one day, for my own sanity. I miss reading a bunch. I used to be smarter. And for some reason whenever I read more it improves my handwriting. Odd, no?

Anyways, I'm gonna stop ranting so much.

Ooooh! Yes! I don't have to get off the laptop at 11 tonight! Wotot!

10:24 PM
Blogger Annie said...

Mmhm. Others influence ya and you influence others. It's a win-win situation.

Wow about the "aids-on-the-ex" thing. Seems pretty immature. This is just one of the countless reasons why I shall not have these "Myspace" things.

Today's Sunday. Not sure I'm going to be doing anything... unless someone plans somethin'. Which probably won't happen. Unless you happen to be online right now. Hah- which you are! But I am continuing to type. Who is Mr. Groscost? Government teacher? Sociology? Actually, I love Magic Mountain! I've only been there once, but I really liked it because all of the rides- even the log ride - were scary! Hah, we should totally go to the Swap Meet. Hm... so I'm wondering if you've realized that I'm online yet. But then again, you could be away.

Yeah, I think that I may read today too, for fun, since (thankfully) my teachers seem to understand that homework is detrimental to our health. But then again, I also have several movies borrowed from a family friend, whom we visited on Saturday. But then I feel that the movies are an obligation. I'm thinking I'll start with "Garden State."

Wow, nice work on reading a book so speedily! I mean, especially considering that you didn't seem to finish the last few books that you started (incl. Clockwork Orange, Catcher in the Rye [:(]). What book did you read? [Reading a few sentences down-- Oh, 1984. Good deal!] And yeah, I definitely agree about not being able to read for fun because of the inabiliy to focus. (I tried reading Space Odyessey: 2001 last year, but couldn't get more than 60 pages in, because it was pretty drab and because I never had time).

Yeah, I'm glad you're back to reading. Or, that you at least read a really good book in such a short amount of time, because you were voted the "biggest bookworm" or something in middle school. And you were.

Oh... I just love how motivational my sisters are. My youngest sister, Lisa, just cracked open the door and said, "You're not going to get picked for the OC Register! Ha-ha-ha!" Well, if they pick me, they do. If they don't, I'm sure it was because there was someone else more qualified, and I'm fine with that. I applied with the idea that my chances are not the greatest. Regardless!

Oh yeah, and how is Project Clean Room going?

Just watched "Garden State." Seen it? I liked it- nuanced, subtle, very human. Definitely not a feel-good movie, but very interesting.

Blogger Krist of the New Age said...

Yep yep.

Mr. Groscost is my government teacher, but he also teaches sociology and football.

I think the good thing about Magic Mountain is that it's theme is to scare you. As opposed to Knott's (which last time I was there I was rather bored) which tried to keep up the western theme and has a few random rides in there to keep some people happy. I mean, it's awesome during the Haunt. It just sucks the rest of the year.

I was asleep. That's why I didn't IM ya.

I have homework, but I don't have my math book. And I have english homework too. And I have government homework which should have been done the other day, but he luckily didn't check, so I can do it. I have to wake up early so I can get my book and what not. =sigh=

Garden State sounds familiar, but I can't remember what it was about. I think it was a movie Chessie saw and ranted about one time.

Thank you! Yeah. I need to try and read Clockwork and 2001, since I know I have at least 2001 in my possession (along with all its sequels).

Your sisters are lame. That's that.

Er...it's sorta gone downhill. I knew it would. Ah well.

Never seen it.

Are you serious!?!?!!

2:19 PM
Blogger Annie said...

I've never been to the Haunt. I'd think it would get awkward. Been to Magic Mountain?

Oh wow, you have homework in so many classes. How weird. I don't even have anything in AP Calc. But that's because Mrs. Woods is realizing how little we learned in Mr. Soch's class last year. At least I will actually be able to pay attention to her and respect her teaching.

Oh, well "Garden State" is the one with Zach Braff and Natalie Portman. You might remember the commercials, where Portman's character appears to be very... quirky and makes weird noises and a weird body movement that looks like a weird stretch.

Yes yes, now that you're in super reading mode, Clockwork and 2001 would be good reads. I started reading Truman Capote's Other Voices, Other Rooms last night, the book that was "scandalous" in his time because his posing on it revealed that he was a homosexual, though the book isn't about that. I chose to read it first because it's only 127 pages long, but I must be really impatient. Or a slow reader. I'm only on page 25 (Chapter 2). It takes me 2 minutes to read one page. I must be a slow reader.

Yeah. My sisters are bullies, unfortunately. Big bullies!

Yikes, Project Clean Room is now... Mission Impossible, minus Tom Cruise and his mysterious (probably fictional) daughter, Suri?

Yeah, Steve Irwin is dead- isn't that odd? He was in the Great Barrier Reef filming a segment for his daughter's show, I think, and a stingray's barb went into his heart! Yikes. (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-irwin4sep04,0,2768973.story?coll=la-home-headlines) And what's weirder to me is that stingrays seem to be less threatening than crocodiles or other dangerous animals, and yet that's what it was. It's just so weird that people are here one day and then suddenly gone.

I think I've been to all the theme parks in So Cal. Even the lame one called something like "Adventure City" on the way to Knotts.

Well, lets see...two of the classes I have homework in are AP classes. And the homework in Groscost is left-over homework that I forgot to do the other day. Stat's homework I'll be doing tomorrow morning. English homework isn't due 'til Thursday, but it's a poem, and we all know how I like to make good poems.

I didn't watch much TV at the time Garden State was being advertised. Or rather, I didn't watch much commercial-inflated TV.

I finally read faster than my mom. I was happy to discover that. And at my dad's house, I managed to finish half of my Outside Reading book for English. I'm sorry you're having trouble reading quickly. Do you get distracted? Do you read words over and over? Or wha? I kinda stopped paying attention to how fast I read, since when I tried to read Grapes of Wrath in my estimated 7 hours, it didn't work.

Try playing a "practical" joke on them. That'll show them who's boss. Yep.

Man, it's so bizarre. I mean...talk about irony?

12:04 AM
Blogger Annie said...

As long as you're stepping up to the homework plate, I can't complain!

Nice job on the reading. Yeah, it sucks- I can't believe I read so slowly. I mean, I read your blog comments very quickly. But when I try to read books quickly, I usually just zone out. I process the words but really all I'm doing is skimming across letters. I think maybe sometimes I do read words over. Especially when I skim and then have to go back... gr. Don't know how I could improve. Practice? But then I get impatient with books! Nice job on the outside reading- was that 1984?

Hm... good idea about the practical joke. If only I were as evil as my sisters. But get this- just last night, Cindy, who has a cold, decided to COUGH on me. Multiple times. On purpose. And even on my cup and toothbrush. Man, I never really realize how much of bullies they are until I talk to people who go "whoa." But I mean it doens't bug me too much- it's more annoyance, really. I'm always so amazed by people who say they get along with their siblings.

Yeah, definitely bizarre about Steve Irwin. And definitely ironic. :(

Luckily, I found my physics book (mentioned that I lost it to ya today). Since my MUN class was locked I had to ask 2 teachers how to get to the room - one was lame and recommended "going next door." (No duh lametard) And the other just let me go through her room. But anyway, what is my problem with losing books all the time? Always math and science. They're such hassles, really.

And how is P/D this year? The class looks fuller, from what I saw outside. And is that girl whose thing was in Sundance there?

Still wishing I could just know if the Register picked me. I wonder what time they called Chessie after she applied. I won't take it harshly if I don't get picked. But not knowing really makes you think about something a lot! (If they sent out rejection letters, I'd be content!)

Well, I'll see ya in music theory class tomorrow.

Been eating lately?

I know what you mean. All of last year I didn't truly /read/ books. I did the skimmy thing, which pissed me off. It's only when I buckled down and read 1984 did I stop doing that...but even then. Nah, 1984 was for fun. I'm reading the Sea Hawk as outside reading.

Mwa. Ha. Ha.

I get along with Josh. We hardly ever see each other.

Lameness on their behalf. Seriously, man.

P/D isn't all that full. It's about the same as last year, I think. Or maybe I'm delusional. There's like...9 playwrights and four directors. And Alex. It's dreadfully disappointing.
